The BayFit Leisure Centre was completed on behalf of the City of Hobsons Bay and follows ADCO’s successful completion of the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre and the Dandenong Sports Centre.
The project represented the largest capital works project undertaken by Hobsons Bay City Council and was therefore a very important project for the local community.
The project provides first class leisure facilities including a new eight lane 25 metre swimming pool, a learn to swim and leisure pool, spa and steam room, full gymnasium, amenities, a cafe and back of house facilities.
The design featured innovative environmental systems including solar power, automatic lighting and water recycling to provide a facility at the leading edge of sustainable development.
The project was valued at $12 million and has been a great success with Hobsons Bay residents.
