Primewest Commercial Development Tender Won in Brisbane

ADCO Constructions has secured the tender to build a commercial development in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, thanks to a tremendous effort by the company’s estimating and design teams in Queensland.

The project is part of Primewest’s $75 million development, Strathpine Central Precinct. ADCO will take the reins for the $35 million construct-only phase, which will see the completion of Super Retail Group’s head offices – Stage 1 of the Strathpine precinct project.

Upon completion, the commercial building will be a three-storey, A-grade office block offering 7,000 sqm net lettable area, fully leased to SRG.

The building will incorporate a high quality integrated fit out with a 586-space staff car park with associated driveways and landscaping integrated in with the campus-style office premises.

ADCO will deliver the construction of the base building, designed by architects Cottee Parker, and implementation of fit out works, designed by Woods Bagot. Construction is set to begin 22 October 2018.

Future stages of the precinct may include mixed-use developments along with tenant amenities such as a gym, childcare centre and pool.

Primewest initiated the project with Super Retail Group, secured a three-hectare site in Strathpine and ran a competitive tender for the construction of the Support Office.

Director David Schwartz said Primewest, Super Retail Group and the Moreton Bay Regional Council had all worked closely together to ensure the project would add significant value to the local community, as well as satisfying the requirements of tenants.

ADCO’s Queensland state manager Simon Hawkins said that the Brisbane team worked tirelessly to secure the tender.

“We are thrilled to have won this tender. Our design team developed value management opportunities throughout the tender, and then during contract negotiation to reduce risk for the client. We will continue to work with Primewest and their architect to explore opportunities throughout the construction.”

CEO of ADCO Neil Harding congratulated the team on their efforts.

“We are delighted to once again be working alongside reputable developer Primewest and architect Cottee Parker on this project, which will transform and reinvigorate the centre of Strathpine. ADCO goes above and beyond in delivering to clients, which is why we stand out in the bidding process.”
