Tuggeranong Fire and Rescue Station

ADCO's ACT business has completed the most recent addition to the emergency services portfolio in the territory the new $12 million ACT Fire and Rescue South Tuggeranong station.   The site was selected by the ACT Emergency Services Agency after extensive research, which included station location modelling to ensure that new service stations are located to respond to emergency incidents across the territory as effectively as possible.

The station houses a crew of four fire fighters, with capacity to accommodate a second crew, as well as an urban fire and rescue pumper and two bushfire tankers. The completed development utilises rainwater harvesting, in-slab heating and cooling, solar power supply and several energy saving technologies.
