RAS Exhibition Pavilion
ADCO’s NSW team have completed the design and construction of the extensions to the Royal Agricultural Society’s exhibition hall at the Olympic Park showgrounds. The $12 million project was integrated with the existing Southee pavilion which was also refurbished as part of the development. The new additions provide in excess of 10,000sqm of exhibition space.
ADCO delivered the project in partnership with Group GSA Architects whom designed the facility with significant architectural merit to complement the existing and surrounding built form of the showgrounds. The structural design included a lightweight roof truss system incorporating a clear span of 72 metres. The $12 million project was delivered under a fast track programme to ensure completion for the Easter Show in 2014. The building was formally opened by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as part of their Royal visit to Australia.
