ADCO is proud to have collaborated with the City of Glen Eira for this state-of-the-art new aquatic and leisure facility in Carnegie. The hero façade will incorporate red brick, timber and concrete, which is a contemporary tribute to the original mid-century design.

This significant redevelopment included demolition and removal of the existing pools and surrounds, earthworks, the construction of a new building with associated services, external and internal pools, landscaping works, external works including extensive car parking.

The aquatics scope included a heated outdoor 50-metre pool and outdoor water play area, separate diving pool with 1m and 3m springboards, an indoor warm water program pool and 25 meter learn-to-swim pool, as well as a spa, sauna and steam room.
Additionally, the centre features accessible change facilities, an indoor multipurpose program/community meeting room, health consulting, fitness rooms, spectator areas, lawn areas, barbecues and shaded seating. The hero façade incorporates red brick, timber and concrete as a contemporary tribute to the original mid-century design.

ADCO is proud to have delivered one of our most sustainable aquatic centres, achieving a prestigious 6 Star Green Star Design rating. Featuring solar energy, water-saving technologies, and optimised ventilation, the facility supports the Council’s emissions reduction pathway, ensuring long-term environmental and community benefits, welcoming everyone of all ages and abilities, including wheelchair access to the main pools and splash pad.

The project received the 2025 Australian Institute of Building – Professional Excellence in Building Awards, taking home the National Sustainability $2 million+ Award.
