Fremantle Hospital Mental Health Unit

ADCO has successfully completed the $60 million Fremantle Hospital Mental Health Unit for the WA Government, delivering a contemporary 40-bed facility that strengthens mental health service capability across Perth’s south metropolitan region.

Delivered within a live hospital campus, the project required careful staging, close stakeholder coordination and strict operational controls to maintain continuity of clinical services while supporting the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors. Works included internal and external demolition, full fit-out works, a new rooftop plant room, services reticulation, external courtyard and landscaping, and new pump room and tank infrastructure.

The project also achieved strong social outcomes through the WA Government gender equality pilot program, with ADCO recording 46.2% female participation across the project team, significantly exceeding the target of 25-30% and 13.3% across the total site workforce.
