ADCO is proud to have been the Builder of Choice for the Kennedy Community Centre development; Hawthorn Football Clubs new elite training and administration facility in Dingley.
Initially working with the consultant team on the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, ADCO has now completed the design and construction of the Hawk’s new headquarters and community facilities.
The site spans 28 hectares and includes an MCG-sized training oval which will host home games for Hawthorn’s AFLW team, VFL and community matches and provides elite aquatic and gym facilities for the Hawks men’s and women’s teams.
The Kennedy Community Centre features a community pavilion and oval, built to ensure gender-equal facilities to host AFLW games and provide elite training facilities for AFL and AFLW teams and for local clubs and organisations. A flexible education and learning space enables the delivery of flagship, partnered programs that mentor, lead, educate and inspire. The state-of-the-art facility also includes an indoor stadium for community basketball, netball, volleyball, and wheelchair AFL, a main oval and the Harris Elite Training and Administration Facility, which will cater for all Hawthorn teams equally.
Administrative spaces for community and not-for-profit organisations are available to share the club’s resources creating a healthy, inclusive, and cohesive culture through participation.
