Kolorer College (formally Cobblebank 7-12 Secondary Supported Inclusion School) is an exciting new school delivered by ADCO in partnership with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) to meet the growing education needs of families in Melbourne’s outer-west.
The name Kolorer was chosen through extensive community and Traditional Owner consultation and means ‘lava flow’ in the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung language, reflecting a connection to Country and place.
Following the completion of the main facilities that allowed the school to open and operate from Day 1, Term 1 2026, works on the ancillary facilities have now been finalised and delivered.
The school has been designed to provide an inclusive learning environment with enhanced accessibility features and facilities to support a broad range of learners, including students with disabilities, with a capacity of 1,600 mainstream students and 130 supported inclusion students, with future potential to accommodate up to 2,270 students.
Stage 1 works included a 2-storey administration and learning building and a 3-storey learning building. Stage 2 works included the outdoor sports field and a community hub with an indoor multi-use court; toilets and change room; a fitness room; specialist learning areas for music and drama; specialist learning areas for food technology; and a canteen.
Completed in just over 12 months, this education project is a strong example of what can be achieved through seamless collaboration from pre‑construction through to delivery.
