Clayton, VIC Swinburne Industry 4.0 Test Labs

ADCO partnered with Swinburne University to help them complete their groundbreaking Industry 4.0 Test Lab, a significant extension and enhancement of the existing CSIRO research facility at Swinburne University’s campus in Clayton, south east of Melbourne.

Upon completion, the facility became the world’s first operational Industry 4.0 Test Lab for carbon composite manufacturing, as part of the university’s research into digital manufacturing processes – including cutting-edge developments in the field of 3D printing.

The new Test Lab offers a warehouse and office covering a total floor area of 460m2. It now houses the carbon fibre press, which is used to develop reduced weight carbon fibre.

We are pleased to have worked with Vincent Crisp Architects and CBRE Project Management to complete this vital piece of research infrastructure for the University.
