Frenchs Forest, NSW The Forest High School

As part of The Frenchs Forest 2041 Place Strategy to create a thriving town centre, The Forest High School was redeveloped to a newly acquired site at 187 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights.

The relocation provided School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) with the opportunity to create a state-of-the-art education facility that focuses on excellence, innovation, opportunity and success for all students. Designed to support up to 1,500 students, the new campus occupies a unique location overlooking Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with sweeping views towards the Sydney CBD. The project sets a new benchmark for modern, inclusive education infrastructure in New South Wales, combining high‑quality learning spaces with strong connections to its surrounding landscape.

Students are benefiting from a wide range of specialist facilities, including dedicated STEM spaces, state‑of‑the‑art science laboratories, multimedia rooms and practical workshop areas. Creative learning is supported through a performance theatre, music rooms and visual arts studios, alongside a contemporary library, indoor multipurpose court and active transport facilities that promote wellbeing and accessibility.

Works are continuing on the outdoor sporting facilities, with final road works to follow, ensuring the broader campus is fully completed and ready to support the school community into the future.

The opening of The Forest High School represents a significant investment in education for the Northern Beaches and provides a contemporary learning environment designed to support both academic achievement and student wellbeing for generations to come.
