Brisbane, QLD Virgin Flight Simulator

The Brisbane Flight Simulator represents ADCO’s first project with Virgin Australia (previously Virgin Blue). The $8 million facility is located at Brisbane Airport and can house up to six Boeing flight simulators.

The building also includes the simulator brief/debrief rooms, training areas for general flight crew, and administrative areas to support these functions.

ADCO coordinated the works and commissioning program with specialist fit-out teams from the USA and UK, who completed the installation of the first four simulators. The installation and waterproofing of hydraulic supply routes to the simulator bays were a key aspect of the successful final commissioning.

The design and construct project included detailing the raised walkways from briefing rooms to the simulator drawbridges, with this access designed to allow seamless access from classroom to simulator.
