ADCO Secures $163m Australian Hockey Centre Project at Curtin University
ADCO Constructions has been appointed to deliver the new Australian Hockey Centre at Curtin University, a landmark investment that will cement Perth’s status as Australia’s premier hockey destination.
Backed by the State Government’s $163 million investment, the redevelopment will become the official home of Hockey Australia’s Centre of Excellence and High-Performance Program, supporting the full pathway from community participation through to elite national and international competition.
The Australian Hockey Centre will include:
– Four outdoor pitches (including at least two International Hockey Federation Category 1 standard)
– A specialist high-performance training centre
– An indoor hockey centre with two courts
– A new 1,000-seat stadium, expandable to host up to 10,000 spectators in event mode
– Modern broadcast capability, community change rooms, specialist lighting and solar panels
– Targeting a 5 Star Green Star Certified rating
The construction program will ensure Hockey WA and Hockey Australia will remain onsite, with pitches available so players can continue to train and compete.
This project is expected to support more than 200 jobs and contribute $34.4 million to WA’s Gross State Product delivered as part of PlayOn WA.
We are excited to help create facilities that match the ambition and talent of the next generation and a lasting legacy for community sport.
