ADCO QLD Community Day Delivers Lasting Impact Across Communities

ADCO’s QLD Community Day once again brought our people together with a shared purpose, giving back to the communities we are proud to be part of.

Each year, Community Day provides an opportunity for our people and project partners to step off site and contribute hands-on to meaningful local initiatives, in partnership with the Brinsmead Hill Family Foundation and a range of community organisations.

This year’s impact was felt right across Queensland:

At Bond University, our team assembled and painted 8 cubby houses, to support Core Transitions in creating safe, engaging environments for families with young children.

At Ipswich Hospital, we revitalised multiple outdoor spaces to improve patient care, rehabilitation and wellbeing, including upgrades to the 6B Therapy Garden and Cribb House.

Through OzHarvest, the team prepared 264 nourishing meals, saved 132kg of food from landfill, and helped prevent 132kg of CO₂ emissions.

At Peachy Community Gardens (Ormeau), works included planting 22 fruit trees, installing native gardens, refreshing facilities, and completing a major site clean-up.

At the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, teams enhanced key patient and public spaces with landscaping, painting works, and upgrades to the Youth Cancer Centre balcony.
