NSW Rugby League’s Centre of Excellence Has Grand Opening

NSW Rugby League’s Centre of Excellence opened this week with a ceremony attended by 200 Australian sporting legends and professionals. ADCO finished the $25m project in January after 15 months of construction and usage of the centre will begin this month.

NSWRL Chairman Dr George Peponis, The Hon. Stuart Ayres MP, Chief Executive David Trodden, NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler and CRL Chairman John Anderson and veteran swimmer Dawn Fraser were among the names who toured the centre completed by ADCO.

Facilities in the finished building include a gym, changerooms, a hydrotherapy centre with plunge and resistance pools, a full sized playing field, medical rooms, 60-seat theatre, dining and lounge areas, museum and administration facilities. The centre is also linked to ANZ Stadium via an exclusive tunnel for State of Origin matches.

The centre will be vital in developing and improving rugby league across the state, for every individual involved in the sport.
