Rugby Legends Help Break Ground at Brookvale Oval

The first sod was turned at Brookvale Oval, marking the beginning of construction on the $33 million Stadium and Centre of Excellence project on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Our NSW State Manager John Basilisco and project team joined Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Club CEO Stephen Humphreys, Club Chairman Scott Penn, players Jake and Tom Trbojevic, acting NSW Minister for Sport Geoff Lee and Member for Manly James Griffin.

When complete next year, Brookvale Oval will include a 3,000-person covered seating area, amenities, food and beverage facilities, high performance training facilities, medical and rehabilitation facilities, an elite-level gymnasium, and aquatic recovery pools.

The Oval will also provide support for women’s sports and dedicated, multipurpose education facilities and meeting rooms.

The Centre of Excellence will be complete by the end of 2021, with the stadium’s opening expected to coincide with the start of the 2022 NRL season.

We are thrilled to be building this much-needed sporting facility with the Club, consultants APP Corporation Pty Ltd and architects Hassell for the Northern Beaches community.
