Port Hedland Airport refurbishment taken to new heights
We recently completed the Port Hedland International Airport upgrade and were thrilled to be part of the opening ceremony. The $65 million project encompassed refurbishment and expansion of the existing terminal building along with upgrades to services and infrastructure. This complex project presented many challenges throughout its lifecycle being in a live environment where normal operations of the airport were required to be maintained. This required our team to co-ordinate and schedule carefully with the client on many stages including installation of the new fire hydrant system whilst keeping the existing system live to ensure the airport always has adequate fire coverage....
Griffith Hospital redevelopment tops out the concrete structure
Topping out the concrete structure in a construction project is always a significant milestone and one our team working on the Griffith Base Hospital redevelopment has just achieved. What makes this project even more significant is its regional location and the challenges of securing trade partners, materials and a team that is required to work away from home. ADCO has significant experience in successfully delivering regional projects and we look forward to working with NSW Health in delivering this important piece of infrastructure for the community.
ADCO continues long relationship with Bond University
ADCO was very proud to attend the opening of the recently completed Bond University Institute of Health and Sport building. The completed project gives Allied Health students access to 11,500m2 of educational spaces, state-of-the-art training facilities, clinics and equipment. Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeanette young AC PSM officially opened the building with Vice Chancellor and President Professor Tim Brailsford the master of ceremonies for the evening’s events. WA Regional Health Care Facility Opens
ADCO recently completed a $61.4 million construction on Newman Health Service in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Then Premier Mark McGowan, Minister for Health Amber-Jade Sanderson and Member for the Pilbara Kevin Michel officially opened the new facility on the 3 May 2023. Building a staged hospital in a remote location is not an easy task but one our people excelled. Implementing a staged approach allowed the existing hospital to remain operational until the new one was completed.
ADCO Completes South Rock State School
ADCO has a strong track record of delivering first class education facilities for Government Departments all across Australia. We have successfully handed over a brand-new school, South Rock State School at Yarrabilba to the Queensland Department of Education. The project involved design and construction within a timeframe of 14 months ensuring the school was completed and ready for students to start the 2023 school year. ADCO building education in NSW
We have just been announced by School Infrastructure NSW as the Builder of Choice for the Castle Hill Public School upgrade project. The project will deliver new classrooms and upgraded core facilities to support the growing population of North West Sydney. New permanent classrooms will replace demountable buildings and the upgrade will provide a new hall and student amenities, as well as support classrooms, administration, and staff areas. We look forward to the completed project providing future benefit to the growing Hills District community.
ADCO delivers another National Storage Facility
Practical completion has been reached on our National Storage project at Springfield, a suburb in Ipswich, QLD. With over 82,000 total hours worked, the $15 million facility looks great and is a credit to our people, client, and trade partners. The project build has also included facilities for new tenants Sparkletown Car Wash and Dog Wash. This is the third facility for which National Storage has chosen ADCO as the preferred builder, further strengthening our valued client relationship.

Riverwood Commuter Open to the public
Completion of the Riverwood commuter carpark (19km south of the Sydney CBD) was marked with the official opening undertaken by Transport for NSW which included a smoking ceremony by Traditional Custodians of the land. The build completed in just under 12 months required our people to overcome several major challenges including relocation of a sewer main from the middle of the site, and the site being bordered by residential properties and rail corridor.
