ADCO Completes Retail Development Outside Newcastle

ADCO has completed a large retail development in Bennetts Green, in NSW’s Lake Macquarie region. Occupying a long strip of land along the Pacific Highway in Bennetts Green, the $65 million build for Spotlight Retail Group (SRG) includes three buildings and carpark set across approximately 80,000m2. Tenancies include bulky goods, sporting goods and crafts store, a family fast food restaurant and BP petrol station, operated by Bunnings, Spotlight and Anaconda Group Pty Ltd. ADCO Secures $50M Western Power Contract

ADCO is proud to be builder of choice for Western Power’s new $50 million South-Metro depot, 30km south of Perth. Today, we welcomed to site Energy Minister Bill Johnston, Jandakot MLA Yaz Mubarakai, Armadale MLA Tony Buti and Western Power Chair Colin Beckett for a Welcome to Country and sod turn with our WA State Manager James Prattent. Landmark DPIE Commercial Development Opens

ADCO is delighted to have handed over Orange's state-of-the-art commercial development for our client Verde Property, allowing NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to begin moving in. At a grand opening ceremony last week, NSW Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey MP announced the building ready for use. The $75 million office block covers over 8500sqm with integrated fit-out and a multi-storey car park component with 400 spaces, including EV charging stations and end-of-trip facilities and can accommodate 800 staff. Prince Street Commercial Development for NSW DPIE Celebrates Topping Out

Last week, ADCO celebrated topping out of NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s new hub in Orange. In attendance was Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey, Mayor of Orange Cr Reg Kidd, Deputy Mayor Cr Sam Romano, MP Sam Farraway, our client Verde, ADCO staff and other project personnel. ADCO Begins Construction on NSW DPI’s Offices in Orange

Construction has commenced on the new offices of NSW Government’s Department of Primary Industries (DPI) in Orange CBD. Developed by Verde Property, the $75 million project will cover a total floor space of 8,500m2 over four storeys. The site will provide on-site multi-level parking for 393 vehicles, including EV charging stations and end of trip facilities (showers, lockers and bike storage). The site is targeting a 5-star Green Star design and 4.5-star NABERS rating for sustainable design and construction. Works are scheduled for completion in mid-2020. NSW Brings Home Two State MBA Awards

On Friday night, we were delighted to win two awards at the 2020 NSW Master Builders Awards. Indooroopilly Hall Project on Track for Early, Defect-Free Completion

We are nearing the end of our Indooroopilly SHS hall and tennis court project in Brisbane. Our second build for Indro, this new addition is the school’s multi-purpose hall which will be available in early 2021 for whole school assemblies and events, basketball, netball, badminton and volleyball. A 5m x 8m LED screen, electronic scoreboards, wall and ceiling-mounted cameras for capturing sports footage for analysis and a gym make up the features of this important addition to the school. ADCO Finalises Complex Shopping Centre Project

After nearly three years of construction, ADCO is pleased to have completed Sunnybank Market Square – a brand new, four-storey shopping centre 16km south of the Brisbane CBD. Purpose-built for the Sunnybank community, redevelopment now offers a new retail destination, an additional 28 mixed-use tenancies within the existing Centre and refurbishment of Building C to introduce two new banquet restaurants. NAIDOC Week: ADCO Observes Indigenous Australian History and Culture

Throughout NAIDOC Week, ADCO staff observed and celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our Queensland staff visited the Corrigan Collection at Bond Uni, Australia’s largest private Indigenous art collection. Beforehand, staff members toured Burleigh Headland and payed their respects to the Elders of the land. Our NSW team learned about native Australian bush food over lunch, and Smoking Ceremonies and acknowledgements of country were performed on sites across the state. This NAIDOC Week, ADCO is incredibly excited to launch our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We have given much thought to how we want to advance reconciliation internally and in the communities in which we work and live, and have initiated a RAP Working Group. This will sustain momentum, build awareness and allow us to investigate opportunities to improve and increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment.
