ADCO to build Robina commercial hub for QIC

ADCO is pleased to be selected as the Builder of Choice for the new Robina Town Centre Office Building project on the Gold Coast. The project for long-time client QIC will see the delivery of a single-stage commercial office building which includes base building, integrated fit out and the diversion of Edgewater Court. The building will be delivered in four separable portions, and construction will include modifications to the existing road works, upgrade and relocation of existing services infrastructure, with the two wings of the building connected by a common core and 7138m² of NLA commercial office space. ADCO’s athletes are running, cycling, walking and swimming to raise important funds for the Property Industry Foundation! Around Australia, from the sunny Gold Coast beaches to the rainy streets of Melbourne, 101 ADCO staff members are taking part in the PIF 30-Day Challenge to raise money for young people needing a home. The architects behind La Trobe University’s $150 million Sports Park redevelopment in Bundoora have been nominated in the Victorian Architecture Awards 2021, in the ‘Sustainable Architecture’ category. We wish to congratulate WARREN AND MAHONEY on this achievement, with whom we worked closely to build Stage 2 of this visually stunning sports development. ADCO to build five new schools for VSBA

ADCO is pleased to be the builder for five of the new schools that the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is opening in 2022. We are currently building the five primary schools in Gisborne, Strathtulloh, Kalkallo, Deanside and Wollert. Each school will offer an administration building with library, art, food and science learning spaces, a performing arts and physical education building, two learning neighbourhoods, outdoor hardcourts, sports field, bike sheds and playground. Crane named at Liverpool Hospital car park development

We’ve named our crane at Liverpool Hospital’s multi-storey car park project in Sydney’s south-west. Recently, ADCO welcomed Member for Holsworthy Melanie Gibbons, project staff and members of the local Liverpool community to site for the Crane Naming Ceremony. Over 100 entries were received from local children and from these submissions, three were selected as finalists. The winning name of the crane was ‘Celsus’, with the young winner congratulated by Ms Gibbons and the project team, and winning a prize. Celsus is Latin for ‘tall’ or ‘lofty’ and is also very suitably the name of a great Ancient Roman medical writer....

ADCO goes 1 million hours without an LTI in Victoria

We are extremely proud of our Victorian team for achieving one year without a LTI (lost time injury), covering over 1 million hours worked on our projects. Last week, each of our projects celebrated this wonderful result with a doughnut day. ADCO is pleased to be the builder of choice for the construction of a new boutique hotel in Melbourne’s CBD, for our client Longriver Group. ADCO celebrates topping out of Arthur Boyd gallery

ADCO and Bundanon Trust celebrated the topping out of the subterranean Art Museum, the centrepiece of Bundanon's new infrastructure. Bundanon is a national cultural organization located west of Nowra on South Coast of NSW. Nestled alongside the Shoalhaven River, Bundanon runs an international ‘Artist in Residence’ program. The new Art Museum will showcase the works of Arthur Boyd, one of most celebrated Australian artists of the 20th century, and modern and contemporary exhibitions. ADCO staff run for Youngcare

A group of ADCO staff from our Brisbane office spent the day taking part in Youngcare’s ‘The Bolt’ – a five kilometre fun run to raise money to facilitate high-care housing for people with disabilities. Our participating staff met five-year-old Hugo, who lives with the challenges of cerebral palsy and is the son of Kris McKerron, one of our Queensland Construction Managers. Overall, more than $30,000 was raised for the event. Ashmore TAFE trades facility ready for students after grand opening

ADCO has completed the new, state-of-the-art Trades Training Centre for TAFE Queensland’s Ashmore campus, Brisbane. Last week, Meaghan Scanlon MP officially opened the complex on behalf of QLD Minister Di Farmer. Education Minister Grace Grace MP was also in attendance alongside dignitaries from the state government and TAFE Queensland. A number of our staff working on the project once trained in the old facilities, including ADCO Project Manager Justin Allen, and Sarah Bowdler who is one of our first female apprentices and will now undertake her studies and training inside the newly completed facility.
