Victoria University’s Skills Hub Complete and Now Open to Students
ADCO has put the finishing touches on Victoria University’s $35m Skills Hub on campus at Sunshine, Melbourne. The eye-catching, three-storey facility was designed by Woods Bagot and holds a 5-star Green Star design rating. The building features a striking façade which incorporates a programmable LED lighting system, subject to a design and construct solution by ADCO. Internally, the building incorporates high-quality timber finishes and polished concrete floors. Now open for the new semester, the Skills Hub offers state-of-the-art spaces for students studying TAFE courses in health, community services and trades-related fields. When a recent ACL injury took Gold Coast Titans Captain Ryan James off the field, he saw it as a fantastic opportunity to take a deeper look at his career outside football. 14 Tonnes of Food Packed for Emergency Relief
Yesterday, ADCO went to Foodbank Australia to pack nearly 14 tonnes of food for Victorians in need of food relief. Foodbank is Victoria’s designated emergency food and water relief organisation under the State Emergency Relief and Recovery Plan. Nine staff members from our Melbourne office prepared pallets of food to be sent out to people suffering from emergencies, particularly victims of the ongoing bushfire crisis Among the 33 charities who will receive the food gifts are Warrnambool Foodshare, Dallas Neighbourhood House and Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Services. ADCO Contracted to Build $17M Hospital in Perth
ADCO is thrilled to be Builder of Choice on the $17m Osborne Park Hospital Rehabilitation and Neonatal Nursery project for WA Government. The Perth-based, construct-only project will incorporate the extension and refurbishment of existing facilities to update the hospital’s Rehabilitation and Women's and Newborn Services. A new Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU) and nursery on Level 2A will complement refurbishments in the Women's and Newborn Services wing. Rehabilitation facilities will be improved by the addition of a new 16-bed rehabilitation ward, central therapy hub, therapy garden and associated refurbishment works.
ADCO to Head $45M Parmelia Hilton Refurb in Perth CBD
ADCO is excited to be working with WA property group Hawaiian on a $45 million refurbishment of Perth’s iconic Parmelia Hilton Perth. Upon completion, the finished hotel will include a contemporary frontage to the Mill Street entrance, an eye-catching expansion of the lobby, the refurbishment of guestrooms and bathrooms, the addition of an executive lounge and a connection to the neighbouring Brookfield Place precinct. Guestroom renovation will see new bathrooms, air-conditioning, flooring, furniture, and improved in-room technology. The number of rooms will increase from 284 to 309 rooms and suites. Striking New Bond Business School Refurbishment Opens to Students
ADCO recently finished the refurbishment of Bond University Business School's Level 2 facilities. Named the 'Business Commons', it now offers a modern, comfortable space which can accommodate 120 students across self-study areas, collaborative spaces and informal teaching areas. The Business Commons is the culmination of a vision for accessible student spaces across the entire Quadrangle. ADCO to Build $90M QANTAS Group Flight Simulator Facility
ADCO is proud to have been selected as the builder to deliver Qantas Group's $90 million Group Flight Training Centre. The project will be one of the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere when complete at the end of 2021. The centre will be located just outside Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport close to Qantas’ Mascot headquarters. ADCO Selected as Builder of Choice for Port Hedland Airport Redevelopment
ADCO is pleased to be Builder of Choice on an important redevelopment of Port Hedland International Airport's terminal building. ADCO has entered an ECI arrangement with the Client, PHIA, to provide construction expertise on the $30m project, designed by architects Woods Bagot. The new terminal will be approximately 800sqm larger than the existing facility and will offer a modern and welcoming interior.
