Sod Turn at Pimpama Sports Hub Marks Beginning of Construction

ADCO has commenced work at Pimpama Sports Hub. In a sod-turn ceremony yesterday, City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, Deputy Mayor Donna Gates and ADCO board member Tom Hill broke ground, witnessed by Council staff, project team and community members. Due for completion in 2021, the sports precinct will offer an aquatic centre, netball and tennis courts, a multipurpose hall, café, health centre, community centre, function rooms and carparking. The aquatic centre will provide a 10-lane Olympic standard pool, an indoor 25-metre pool, learn-to-swim pool and an outdoor children’s pool. Eye-Catching Strathpine Commercial Development Opens to Tenants

Yesterday, the grand opening of Super Retail Group’s stunning new offices took place at Strathpine in Brisbane’s north. Group MD and CEO of Super Retail Group Anthony Heraghty, Mayor Allan Sutherland of Moreton Bay Regional Council and David Schwartz, Managing Director of Primewest brought out the giant scissors and cut the ribbon, announcing the offices open. ADCO Cycle Victorian Country for Homeless Youth

Last Friday, 17 ADCO staff, clients, consultants and associates participated in the 2019 Property Industry Foundation Charity Ride in Victoria to raise money for youth homelessness. Starting and finishing at RACV Healesville, the course ran through beautiful country back roads. ADCO Estimator Andrew Fullard ported that all participants dug deep on the hilly course — the culmination of which was a gruelling a 10km hill climb. “We shared a fantastic morning of cycling with many other industry clients, consultants and competitors. ADCO is delighted to be part of NAWIC Queensland's mentoring program in Queensland. Heading into 2020, the program will see its largest cohort yet with 96 involved from organisations across the industry. The theme of the program was BALANCE. ADCO recently held its second Delivery Partners Forum at our recently refurbished head office in North Sydney, with approximately 80 sub-contractor partners in attendance. We currently hold these forums at a State level, nationally. An important element of these forums is hearing feedback, which allows us to improve. ADCO Claims Prestigious Award in Queensland

On Wednesday, ADCO took home a prestigious Queensland State MBA award for our project, Birtinya Shopping Centre, which claimed first place in the category ‘Commercial Buildings ($5-50 million)’. The $45m large retail build for Stockland is a key feature of the new $830 million Birtinya Town Centre masterplan development. The Centre offers a Coles, an Aldi, speciality tenancies and a food precinct. Construction also included loading docks, external services, on-grade car parking and landscaping. Local MP Joins ADCO for Topping Out at Regional Hospital Build

Last Friday, Bowral and District Hospital celebrated topping out of the health facility’s new building. To mark the ceremony, local Member for Wollondilly, Nathaniel Smith MP, announced that the building’s structure had come to completion. This was celebrated with the unveiling of a topping out tree which was brought in by our crane, ‘Rakhi’, named in a competition won by a young member of the Bowral community.
